Rollink Cyprus – Roll Ink Print
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This Warranty Policy explains the statutory legal guarantee and the handling of defective or non-conforming goods purchased from Roll Ink Print (Rollink Cyprus), online at www.rollink.com.cy or at our physical store in Paphos. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Returns Policy.
Nothing in this Policy limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable Cyprus or European Union law.
1. Statutory Legal Guarantee
New goods sold to consumers are generally covered by a two-year statutory legal guarantee beginning on the date of delivery. Used goods are also covered by statutory rights; a shorter period, where lawfully agreed, cannot be less than one year.
The legal guarantee concerns goods that do not conform to the sales contract, including qualifying defects or material discrepancies from the agreed description, specifications or compatibility information.
Stefanou Charalambos, trading as Roll Ink Print (Rollink Cyprus), remains responsible for the seller’s statutory obligations. A manufacturer or authorised service centre may assist in assessing or repairing a product, but this does not transfer the seller’s statutory responsibilities to that third party.
2. Reporting a Fault
Customers who identify a suspected defect are encouraged to contact us promptly at support@rollink.com.cy or +357 26 222557.
To help investigate a claim, we may reasonably request:
- An order number, receipt or other proof of purchase.
- The product model and serial number, where applicable.
- A description of the problem and the circumstances in which it occurs.
- Photographs, video, test pages or diagnostic information where reasonably relevant and available.
A particular photograph, original box, RMA number or specific document is not an automatic condition for exercising statutory legal guarantee rights. Claims will be considered using reasonably available evidence.
Customers are encouraged to retain relevant information and, where appropriate, back up their own data before equipment is submitted for service. Any handling of personal data is subject to applicable data-protection law.
3. Assessment and Technical Inspection
Where appropriate, Rollink Cyprus may arrange inspection or testing by its staff, the manufacturer, or an authorised service centre to establish whether goods conform to the contract and to identify the cause of a reported problem.
Assessment may consider product condition, diagnostic results, manufacturer guidance and relevant technical information. The outcome will be evaluated under applicable consumer law; a manufacturer’s diagnosis does not override the consumer’s statutory rights against the seller.
A reported problem does not automatically establish a manufacturing defect. Equally, a claim will not be rejected merely because packaging has been opened, the product has been installed, or a third-party accessory was used, unless relevant circumstances legally justify doing so.
4. Repairs, Replacements and Other Remedies
Where goods do not conform to the contract, the consumer may be entitled to repair or replacement free of charge, subject to the conditions and order of remedies established by law.
Repair or replacement must be carried out within a reasonable time, normally not exceeding 25 days after the seller is informed of the lack of conformity, unless the consumer expressly agrees to an extension as permitted by Cyprus law. The remedy must not cause significant inconvenience to the consumer.
Where legally justified, including where repair or replacement is unavailable, unsuccessful or not carried out as required, the consumer may be entitled to an appropriate price reduction or termination of the contract and reimbursement.
Cyprus law also provides specific remedies where a serious lack of conformity becomes apparent within 30 days of delivery, including immediate replacement or rejection of the goods, subject to applicable legal conditions.
The choice and availability of remedies depend on the facts and applicable law. Submission of a warranty claim does not itself automatically trigger a replacement or refund.
5. Transport and Service Costs
For a valid statutory legal guarantee claim, repair or replacement and the necessary associated costs, including applicable transport, labour and materials, will be covered without charge to the consumer, as required by law.
Customers should contact Rollink Cyprus before arranging shipment of goods so that suitable collection, delivery or service arrangements can be agreed. No automatic rule requiring the consumer to pay transport to or from a service centre applies to a legally required free remedy.
If testing establishes that the product conforms to the contract and the reported issue does not qualify for a statutory remedy, Rollink Cyprus is not automatically obliged to provide a free repair or replacement. Any separate paid diagnostic, transport or repair service will be explained and agreed in advance where applicable; no automatic diagnostic or restocking fee is imposed merely for raising a statutory claim.
6. Ink, Toner and Other Consumables
Ink cartridges, toner and other consumables are covered by statutory rights when defective or otherwise non-conforming, subject to applicable law.
Normal consumption, expected wear, incorrect cartridge selection by the customer, improper storage, misuse or incorrect installation do not automatically establish a defect attributable to Rollink Cyprus.
Opened, installed or used consumables are not eligible for additional voluntary exchanges solely because a customer changed their mind or chose the wrong item. This does not exclude statutory legal guarantee rights or applicable online withdrawal rights.
Where relevant, we may request cartridge codes, printer details, test pages or other reasonable evidence to investigate a reported fault.
7. Misuse, External Damage and Compatibility
The statutory guarantee does not make Rollink Cyprus responsible for faults caused solely by circumstances for which the seller is not legally responsible, such as:
- Improper handling, accidental physical damage or liquid damage.
- Incorrect installation or modifications carried out contrary to appropriate instructions.
- Power surges or other external events that caused the damage.
- Use of incompatible supplies or accessories where that use actually caused the reported fault.
- Ordinary wear and expected consumption that do not constitute a lack of conformity.
These matters are assessed individually. Use of third-party ink, toner, components or accessories does not, by itself, cancel all statutory guarantee rights.
Where product instructions, descriptions or compatibility information supplied by Rollink Cyprus are incorrect or misleading, statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Manufacturer and Commercial Warranties
Some products include a manufacturer’s or distributor’s additional commercial warranty. Its duration, coverage and service arrangements may vary by brand and product.
Such warranties provide additional benefits only. They do not replace, shorten or restrict the statutory legal guarantee owed by Rollink Cyprus as the seller.
Customers may be directed to an authorised service centre where appropriate for technical assistance, but they may continue to address statutory lack-of-conformity claims to Rollink Cyprus.
9. Business Purchases and Repair Services
Consumer-specific legal guarantee protections do not automatically apply to purchases made wholly for business, trade or professional purposes. Such transactions are subject to the applicable contract and mandatory law.
This Policy addresses the sale of goods. Separately purchased repair, installation or technical-support services may have additional service terms, without limiting statutory rights that apply to the sale of goods.
